Marvel's Avengers is periodically updated with free content, such as new playable heroes or boss fights, slowly growing the amount of things to do over time. MCU skins quickly became one of the most highly requested additions (aside from endgame content), and Crystal Dynamics finally added the game's first MCU skins in March 2021. Marvel's Avengers launched without any MCU-inspired cosmetics in 2020, with release and many post-launch skins being based purely on older comic book appearances or original designs by Crystal Dynamics. Marvel's Avengers recently added a rugged Captain America Avengers: Infinity War skin, which saw the First Avenger become the rogue hero Nomad. Crystal Dynamics' cooperative superhero adventure struggled to gain traction after launch, but the game has been praised by some for its growing collection of highly detailed Marvel Cinematic Universe skins. The newest Marvel's AvengersMCU skin is Iron Man's Suitcase Armor from Iron Man 2.
